Coronavirus Screening Module Free to All GD (General Devices) Telehealth Users

Simplify your Coronavirus Screening with a complimentary form in your GD e-Bridge or GD CAREpoint

[Ridgefield, NJ, Jan 2020]: The current spread of the 2019-nCoV coronavirus has made prevalent the need for early virus screening by emergency medical services (EMS) and hospitals.

As of January 29th, the Coronavirus has reached 5,974 cases confirmed in China, resulting in 132 deaths. The virus has already spread to Thailand, Taiwan, Japan, Singapore, South Korea, Vietnam, France, Australia, Malaysia, Nepal, Germany, Sri Lanka, Cambodia, Canada and the United States.

So far, the United States has confirmed cases in Washington, California, Arizona and Illinois with more states expected to follow.

This new Virus Screening module is intended as a way for EMS and hospital providers to screen and document possible affected patients quickly and easily before the ambulance arrives, so that proper precautions can be implemented and further contamination limited.  The form questions are based on the CDC’s latest interim screening guideline.

This module is a free update available to all GD e-Bridge Mobile Telemedicine (telehealth) app and GD CAREpoint Workstation users.  Individual organizations will have the ability to configure the form to include local protocols and adapt it for future use.

“We are pleased to do whatever we can to support those that are on the front line for combating this deadly virus.  GD’s core purpose is ‘To improve the health and wellbeing of the public at large by providing Responsive Innovation that connects first responders and healthcare providers’, so naturally our team got behind this effort quickly.” said Curt Bashford, General Devices’ CEO.

Those interested in implementing this complimentary virus screening module may fill out the request form here.
