FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
RIDGEFIELD, NJ – Aug. 6, 2020 – Curt Bashford, CEO of GD (General Devices), an expert in mobile telemedicine and telehealth, will participate as a featured speaker during an Aug. 13 webinar about how FirstNet contributes to life-saving care.
Curt will discuss how GD e-Bridge provides a secure option for remote patient consults, connecting EMS and hospital care teams. The telehealth solution reduces the time to treatment and promotes the best care at the right time and place.
The webinar, which begins at 12 p.m. EST Aug. 13, is part of the Public Safety Broadband Technology Association technical solution webinar series on FirstNet App Catalog applications. AT&T is building FirstNet, a nationwide public safety broadband network dedicated to first responders across the United States.
The GD e-Bridge mobile telemedicine app enables live communications between and among EMS crews, emergency departments and hospital teams by sharing secure pictures, audio, video, data and live conferencing. Telehealth collaboration from first medical contact by EMS, for treatment on-scene to acute intervention, streamlines and shortens time to treatment enables the best possible outcomes. GD e-Bridge is highly configurable, enabling users to tailor alerts, buttons, authorized care team participants and process workflows for the right care, at the right time and right place.
Curt’s experience at GD spans 34 years and includes developing and marketing communications and telemedicine solutions for EMS, hospitals and health care providers. He has overseen hundreds of projects for organizations such as the Fire Department of New York (FDNY), LA County Fire Department and major hospital systems across the country and has been involved in FirstNet projects since its inception. Curt, a former EMT, is a board member of the NPSTC Foundation and member of the Career Advisory Board at NJIT.
